2026 Spring & Summer Submarine Tours
3 Pitt Street, Port Burwell, ON - 3 Pitt Street, Port Burwell, ON, Canada
Book now to get the best selection ! Best of all, NO PRICE INCREASES FOR 2026 !
SPECIAL NOTE: On our booking Calendar, you may see times or even days that are not available for booking. Many, if not most, of those times have been reserved for visiting schools and units of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps. We have had a tremendous number of their units contacting us, (we are expecting over 300 cadets) hoping to tour Ojibwa this Spring. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to balance public demand with schools, cadets and other group requests.
Mother's Day: We are pleased to inform you that Mother's Day weekend, May 9 & 10, we will be continuing our Mother's Day Special - all weekend, Mother's only pay the Children's price ! It's always a busy weekend, so book early and bring Mom, Grandma, and even Great Grandma for a tour !
We strongly suggest that you watch the weather as your planned tour date approaches, and the situation in Port Burwell can change very quickly. Be sure to dress for the weather outside, as good portion of the tour is around the exterior of the vessel.
The Schedule: As the weather warms with Spring, our frequency of opening will also increase. Please keep an eye on this website, as we may be adding more dates if we have the demand and the available staff (many of our staff are still in school).
The vessel is NOT HEATED, so be sure to dress for the temperatures forecast for your visit (we have all seen and experienced the wild swings in temperatures this season). Also, remember that Lake Erie is only 500 metres away, and it is still very cold. This can lower the temperature in Port Burwell 3 - 4 degrees Celsius compared to just 2 or 3 kilometres north of the village.
This 60+ minute tour will take you through the boat, entering the forward torpedo room, and exiting from the after torpedo room, and will give you a greater appreciation of the cramped conditions the crew had to function in. Minimum age for children taking the tour is 8 years old. It has been our experience over the years that children under that age have difficulty with the length of the tour. Pets are not permitted on the tours (service animals excepted) - and even they can be quite stressed by the open stairways and odours found on board, so please consider this when planning your tour. We now have two fenced pens where you may choose to have your pet wait while you take your tour. Each area offers shade and fresh water, and are available on a first come, first served basis .We ask that you please arrive at our ticket office at least 15 minutes before your tour time.
