2024 Winter Tours

The end of the regular 2024 season is upon us, and the weekend of October 26/27 will be our final regular season weekend.   Starting in November, we will transition to our winter routine of the last weekend of the month.  The hours will remain 12 noon to 4 pm (the last tour will leave around 3:30).

New Schedule:             The last weekend of each month (where both the Saturday and Sunday are in the same month).                                                                                  Saturday & Sunday 12:00 The noon to 4:00 pm (last tour leaves at 3:30) to the end of October.      

Opening Dates:            November 23 & 24,  December 28 & 29,  January 25 & 26, February 22 & 23.

Winter can bring a wide variation in temperatures, so please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of your visit.  Be aware that winter storms may force the closure of the site, with very little or no notice.  The vessel is NOT HEATED, so be sure to dress for the temperatures forecast for your visit.

This 60+ minute tour will take you through the boat, entering the forward torpedo room, and exiting from the after torpedo room, and will give you a greater appreciation of the cramped conditions the crew had to function in.

Minimum age for children taking the tour is 8 years old.  It has been our experience over the years that children under that age have difficulty with the length of the tour.  Pets are not permitted on the tours (service animals excepted) - and even they can be quite stressed by the open stairways and odours found on board, so please consider this when planning your tour.  We now have  two fenced pens where you may choose to have your pet wait while you take your tour.  Each area offers shade and fresh water, and are available on a first come, first served basis.

We ask that you please arrive at our ticket office at least 15 minutes before your tour time.
